Japan offers a simple and brilliant answer. Introducing the Kokubo Waste Oil Solidifier, "Katamete Pon." This powder, made from natural fat-based ingredients, turns your leftover liquid cooking oil into a solid gel, allowing for easy, clean, and safe disposal in your regular rubbish.

How It Works in 4 Simple Steps

  1. While the Oil is Warm: After cooking, turn off the heat. While the oil is still hot (approximately 80°C or above), pour one 20g sachet of powder in for every 600ml of oil.
  2. Add and Stir: Stir thoroughly with chopsticks or a spatula until the powder is completely dissolved.
  3. Let It Cool: Leave the oil to cool down at room temperature. In 1-2 hours, it will solidify into a firm, jelly-like disc.
  4. Dispose Safely: Simply use a spatula to peel the solid disc of oil from the pan and dispose of it in the bin. The pan is left remarkably clean!
