Care Instructions

  • Bowl: Dishwasher safe (hand wash is recommended to best preserve the unique glaze).
  • Whisk: Hand wash only. After use, rinse thoroughly with warm water (do not use soap) and allow to air dry completely, preferably on a whisk stand (chasen-tate) to maintain its shape.
  • As this is artisanal pottery, please expect minor imperfections and unique variations in the glaze, pattern, and shape.

About Kiseto Ware

Kiseto, or 'Yellow Seto', is a type of Japanese Mino ware that became prominent during the Momoyama period. It is famous for its warm, buttery yellow glaze, often accented with splashes of green from copper sulphate and a fine crackle pattern. This style is highly prized for its rustic yet refined beauty in the world of the Japanese tea ceremony.
