Buffalo Stainless Steel Rice Cooker - 5 Cups (BRC01)
The BRC01 is Buffalo's conventional 5-cup rice cooker with an uncoated 304 stainless steel inner pot, back on the Australian market after nearly five years away. Buffalo's BoilSteam cycle boils the rice first, then finishes it by steaming on the tray above. It cooks from 2 cups up to 5 cups (160 ml Buffalo cup).
Nine menus cover rice, congee, soup, steam, stew, braise and a DIY setting, with a 24-hour preset timer and automatic keep-warm. If you want induction heating, the BRC03 IH model is the same size.

Does Rice Stick to a Stainless Steel Inner Pot?
Uncoated stainless steel needs one extra step: when cooking finishes, leave the rice on Keep Warm for 10–15 minutes, then fluff it through from the bottom. Rice left unstirred on Keep Warm dries at the base and sticks — fluffed first, it keeps warm for hours without sticking. See our user guide for ratios and cooking times.
Care Instructions
- The stainless steel inner pot is highly durable and dishwasher safe.
- Unlike non-stick pans, metal utensils can be used, but silicone or wooden utensils are still recommended to preserve the finish.
- Wipe the cooker body with a damp cloth. Do not submerge.
