Key Features
- Magma Plate Carbon Steel: Made from 98.8% high-purity iron, the unique magma plate surface has fine irregularities that provide excellent heat conduction and help seasoning oil adhere for a naturally non-stick finish.
- Traditional, Non-Nitrided Steel: This pan is crafted from pure carbon steel without a nitriding treatment, allowing it to season beautifully and deeply with traditional care.
- Deep Frypan Design: The tall, straight walls provide generous depth, preventing spills and making it perfect for sautéing vegetables or searing meats.
- Induction Compatible: Suitable for use on all cooktops, including induction, gas, and electric, offering versatile performance.
- Made in Japan: A testament to quality Japanese craftsmanship and materials.
Seasoning & Care
As a traditional carbon steel pan, it requires seasoning to create its natural, non-stick surface. Because this pan is not nitrided, it requires prompt and thorough drying after every wash to prevent rust. This is a normal characteristic of pure carbon steel and is part of the traditional care process. For detailed instructions on how to build and maintain the patina, please see our comprehensive user guide.
