About Oribe Ware

Oribe ware (Oribe-yaki) is a style of Japanese pottery that emerged during the Momoyama period. It is easily recognized by its distinctive, free-flowing green copper glaze and bold, modern-looking designs. Oribe ware is celebrated for its departure from perfect symmetry, embracing distorted shapes and expressive patterns that give each piece a unique character.

Care Instructions

  • Bowl: Hand wash only is recommended for delicate, handcrafted pottery. Not suitable for microwave use.
  • Whisk: After use, rinse with warm water and allow to air dry completely, preferably on a whisk stand (kuse naoshi) to maintain its shape.
