Takumi Carbon Steel Induction Frypan - 20cm
Takumi Carbon Steel Induction Frypan - 20cm
The Takumi 20cm Carbon Steel Frypan features a traditional Japanese design with a minimalist aesthetic.
Crafted from robust carbon steel, it quickly and evenly distributes heat, making it ideal for frying, sautéing, and searing. Its matte black finish and natural wooden handle reflect simplicity and practicality, hallmarks of Japanese cookware culture.
The pan's tall, straight walls provide additional depth, accommodating more ingredients and allowing easier stirring or flipping without spillage. Its flat base ensures stability and optimal heat transfer on induction and conventional stovetops.

What is Takumi?
Takumi is a well-regarded Japanese cookware brand that offers reasonably priced woks and frypans made with non-nitrided metal. While non-nitrided cookware may not be considered as high-end as nitrided cookware, it nevertheless represents a cost-effective option that maintains a high level of quality.

Care and Maintenance
Before First Use: Season with Oil
- Wash the inside and outside of your frying pan or wok with dish soap.
- Pour oil into the pan to fill about 1/3 of its capacity and heat on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the oil to a suitable container and spread evenly inside the pan using oil basting set or paper towels.
- We suggest using an oil basting set and a charcoal oil filter pot to properly maintain your carbon steel cookware.
When Finished Cooking
- Transfer leftovers to a separate container and do not use the frying pan or wok for storage.
- Wash the pan with warm water and a scrub sponge, but do not put it in the dishwasher.
- Rinse the pan and wipe it dry.
- Season it with a tablespoon of oil before storing.
