Green Life Stainless Steel Konro Grill Starter Set - 39cm

Green Life Stainless Steel Konro Grill Starter Set - 39cm
The Green Life Stainless Steel Konro Grill Starter Set is a complete outdoor cooking bundle built around a 39cm stainless steel konro grill. Often known as a hibachi grill in Australia, it uses an insulated double-wall body that stays noticeably cooler on the outside than traditional ceramic clay grills — a durable, lightweight, and more practical choice for tabletop and portable grilling.
Proportioned for serving 4 to 6 people, the set includes the grill body, two cooking meshes, 15 stainless steel skewers, and a 3kg box of Matsuba Binchotan charcoal — everything you need to start grilling. It's ideal for outdoor settings such as campsites, backyards, and open-air gatherings.
What's Included

- 2 x Reusable Grill Meshes (35cm x 21cm)
- 1 x Matsuba Binchotan - 3kg

- Matsuba Binchotan Charcoal: An easy-to-use compressed binchotan that provides a tidy, manageable, long-lasting heat source for regular grilling sessions.

Konro Grill User Guides & Recipes
Setup & Safe Use
Important: This is a charcoal grill for outdoor use only. Although the insulated body stays cooler than a traditional grill, the top, mesh, and inner container still get very hot during and after use. Always handle with heat-resistant mitts and place the grill on a fireproof, heat-resistant surface.
Setup is simple: attach the handles, sit the ash plate inside the inner charcoal container, and add your charcoal on top. Light the charcoal safely outdoors, and once the flames have died down and a grey ash has formed, set the mesh on top and start grilling. With binchotan, a little goes a long way — a modest amount delivers the steady "far heat" that gives Japanese grilling its signature flavour.
For step-by-step instructions, charcoal tips, and the adjustable mesh-height feature, see our Comprehensive Konro Grill User Guide.
After Grilling:
Never use water to extinguish hot charcoal. Let it burn out completely or transfer it to a dedicated charcoal extinguisher pot. Once cool, the inner container lifts out for easy ash disposal, and all parts can be washed and dried thoroughly before storage.

What Made Okunoto Konro Grills / Hibachi Grills So Special?
- Okunoto konro grills are frequently seen in cooking competitions. Popular in Japanese barbeque restaurants.
- Uses diatom mud from the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture.
- Diatom mud is an excellent heat insulator. Walls of the grill are over 5cm thick.
- When used with binchotan, the heat is high, consistent, and concentrated. Provides an exceptional barbeque experience.
- Suitable for grilling wagyu, yakitori, fish, vegetables, and various barbeque recipes.
Use and Maintenance
- Avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Always grill outdoors in well-ventilated areas.
- Take proper care to extinguish the fire. Do not use water. If water is absorbed, diatom mud becomes brittle. It will also lose its durability.
- When cleaning the grill, do not use water. Instead, gently remove the ash and food residue.
