The NL-GAQ10 was the first Zojirushi rice cooker to be SAA approved and sold officially in Australia. It is the brand's most proven conventional design — a made-in-Japan Micom cooker that does everything a rice cooker should, without stepping up to induction-heating prices. It cooks from 1 cup up to 5.5 cups, the standard size for most households.
The full-sized steaming basket sets it apart: it works while white rice cooks below, so vegetables or dumplings are ready at the same time. Most cookers give you a basket too small to be useful, or a steam program that cannot run alongside rice. It remains our first recommendation for one cooker that covers everything.
