
Nagatsuka Charcoal Starter Pan - Made in Japan
Binchotan Japanese white charcoal has excellent thermal properties but is a bit difficult to light. Charcoal starter pans are an excellent tool for lighting binchotan.
Binchotan should be arranged vertically in the pot (please see product images) and placed on top of a gas burner and heated for 10 to 15 minutes. The entire process must be done outdoors.
