The Toyo Sasaki USURAI On The Rock Glass embodies the quiet refinement of Japanese glassmaking. Named after usurai — the thin ice that forms on water in early winter — the glass is blown remarkably thin, its fine rim letting whisky, shochu, and cocktails flow naturally onto the palate with a clean, delicate feel on the lips.

Despite its thinness, the glass is remarkably strong — the surface is ion-strengthened using Toyo Sasaki's HS (Hard Strong) treatment, making it far more resistant to chipping and breakage than conventional glass. The wide cylindrical mouth and generous 355ml capacity leave plenty of room for large ice cubes, well suited to whisky on the rocks, highballs, and long drinks. Supplied as a set of two.
