Tiger Citric Acid Cleaner User Guide

The Tiger Citric Acid Cleaner is designed for cleaning the inside of electric kettles, and electric water heating/dispensing pots. With regular use, minerals naturally present in water (such as calcium, magnesium, and iron) can build up on the inner container and form limescale or residue. This build-up may reduce heating efficiency, affect heat retention, and impact water clarity.

This cleaner uses 100% citric acid to dissolve mineral deposits safely and effectively, helping maintain the cleanliness and performance of your appliance or container.

Key Cleaning Information

  • Suitable Items: Electric kettles, electric water dispensing pots (compatible with Tiger and similar brands).
  • What It Removes: White limescale, calcium spots, cloudy residue, and brown mineral stains.
  • Frequency: Every 2–3 months, or when mineral build-up becomes visible.
  • Contents: 4 × single-use sachets (approx. 30g per sachet). Use 1 sachet per cycle.

Cleaning Instructions

  1. Ensure the kettle or pot is empty and cool.
  2. Add one sachet (30g) of citric acid directly into the container.
  3. Fill with cold water up to the maximum water level.
  4. For electric appliances, close the lid and boil the water. For insulated flasks, pour in boiling water after adding the citric acid.
  5. Leave the solution to soak for 2–3 hours.
  6. Carefully discard the water.
  7. If residue remains, gently wipe with a soft sponge only (do not use abrasives).
  8. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. For electric appliances, boil clean water once and discard.

Important Usage Notes

  • Always start with cold water for electric appliances.
  • Do not exceed the maximum water level or open the lid during the cleaning process.
  • If your appliance has a specific citric acid cleaning cycle, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Remove activated carbon filters before cleaning; ensure mesh filters are installed correctly.
  • Do not use on aluminium, copper, or non-lined containers unless confirmed suitable by the manufacturer.

Safety & First Aid

Safety Information: Do not mix with chlorine-based products (e.g. bleach). Citric acid is food-grade but not intended for consumption. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.

First Aid Measures

  • Eye contact: Rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical advice immediately.
  • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth and drink 1–2 cups of water or milk. Seek medical advice immediately.
  • Skin contact: Wash thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice immediately.

When seeking medical advice, always take the product packaging with you.
