The Mikawa Portable Konro Grill — often known as a hibachi grill in Australia — is a compact tabletop grill crafted in Japan from natural diatomite, a porous material renowned for its heat insulation.

Its small 19cm fire bowl is made for binchotan charcoal: a small amount concentrates its heat and burns for hours, so each session uses very little charcoal. With its carry handle and light weight, the grill moves easily between the table, the balcony and the campsite.
