The Oda Pottery Kushime Dinner Hat Plate brings the refined character of the Kushime series to a distinctive deep form. About Oda Pottery

Founded in 1921 in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture — at the heart of the Mino ware region — Oda Pottery carries a proud century-long legacy of Japanese craftsmanship. The Mizunami area, together with the neighbouring cities of Tajimi and Toki, has flourished as a centre of Mino ware, known for its diversity of materials, designs, and techniques. From the early Meiji period, Mizunami gained international recognition as a leading producer and exporter of fine white porcelain for Western dining, establishing itself as one of the world's premier porcelain regions. For over 100 years, Oda Pottery has continued this tradition, creating refined white porcelain tableware that reflects the skills and artistry passed down through generations.

About Mino Ware

Mino ware (Mino-yaki) is a style of Japanese pottery produced in the Gifu Prefecture, Japan's largest pottery-producing region. Its history spans over 1,300 years, and its adaptable designs have evolved to suit changing lifestyles, making it the most popular style of pottery in Japan today.
