Saikai Hasami Yaki Classic Blue Japanese Bowl Set - 18cm - 2-Piece

This set of two Hasami Yaki bowls from Saikai Toki is designed for modern life while honouring Japanese tradition. The set includes two 18cm bowls, each featuring a different but perfectly matched classic blue and white pattern: one with the iconic 'Seigaiha' (wave) motif, and the other with a 'Tokusa' (radial stripe) design.

Each bowl is finished with a rustic brown brushed rim that highlights its handcrafted feel. Hailing from Hasami, a town with 400 years of pottery history, these bowls are lightweight, durable, and ideal for serving noodles, salads, or donburi.

Use & Care
  • Care guide: How to care for handmade Japanese tableware.
  • Microwave & dishwasher: Most of our tableware handles both, but pieces with gold or metallic accents should stay out of the microwave — check each product page.
  • First use: A quick wash in warm water is all new pieces need.
  • Stacking: Place a cloth or paper between stacked pieces to protect glazes from scratching.
  • Stubborn stains: A soak in warm water with a little baking soda lifts tea and coffee stains gently.
