About Take Kitchen

The Take Kitchen series focuses on simple, functional kitchen tools made from natural bamboo. Designed for everyday cooking, these products combine practicality with a clean and timeless aesthetic that suits any kitchen.

About Carbonised Bamboo

Carbonisation is a heat treatment process applied to bamboo at high temperatures in a low-oxygen environment. The process darkens the bamboo to a rich, warm brown tone and significantly improves its resistance to insects, mould, and moisture — making it more durable and longer-lasting than untreated bamboo. The result is a material that is both more functional and more visually refined.

Use & Care
  • Care guide: Our full guide to keeping your nonstick cookware in top shape.
  • Heat: Medium heat is all nonstick needs — extended high heat weakens the coating and shortens its life.
  • Utensils: Stick to silicone, wood or nylon — metal utensils scratch the coating.
  • Cleaning: Let the pan cool before washing — sudden cold water on a hot pan can warp the base. Warm water and a soft sponge are enough.
  • Dishwasher: Hand washing is recommended to extend coating life.
  • Storage: If you stack pans, place a cloth or pan protector between them.
Good to Know
  • Choosing nonstick: Our buying guide covers PTFE-based nonstick and how to choose.
  • Ceramic vs PTFE: Ceramic coatings are PTFE and PFOA free — read our guide on the differences.
  • Induction: Most of our nonstick range is induction-compatible — check the specs on each product page.
  • Lifespan: Nonstick coating is a wear item — with good care it lasts years, but no coating lasts forever.
  • No seasoning needed: Unlike carbon steel, nonstick is ready to use after a quick wash.
