Yoshikawa Yukihira Induction Saucepan with Lid - 24cm (3.6L)

This set pairs the largest Yoshikawa Yukihira saucepan with a matching 24cm Aiko glass lid. Prized in Japanese kitchens for its lightweight handling and rapid, even heating, the nickel-free Yukihira is the family-size pan for dashi stock, soups, noodles and pasta. It is the only size in the range with a steel helper handle, so a full 3.6L pot lifts steadily with two hands.

The clear glass lid lets you check the pot without lifting it, holding heat and steam while a stock or stew simmers. Compatible with all cooktops, including induction.

  • Two-Handle Design: A long wooden handle plus a steel helper handle for stability when lifting a full pot.
  • Embossed Tsuchime Pattern: The hammered pattern helps conduct heat effectively and reduces the chance of boiling over.
  • Dual Pouring Rims: Pouring spouts on both sides for drip-free pouring, right- or left-handed.
  • Internal Volume Markers: Measurements marked inside the pan for measuring without extra cups.
  • Lightweight Nickel-Free Steel: 18-0 stainless steel suits those with nickel sensitivities.

Important Usage Note

This pan is designed specifically for boiling and simmering (e.g., soups, noodles, sauces).

It is NOT suitable for stir-frying or deep-frying. Using this pan for frying may cause deformation or discolouration due to the lightweight nature of the steel.

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash only. Do not use in the dishwasher, as harsh detergents can damage the wooden handle.
  • Handle Maintenance: The natural wood handle is attached with a screw. It is normal for the wood near the pan to darken slightly from heat. Please check the screw periodically and tighten it if it becomes loose.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft sponge and mild detergent. To remove rainbow discolouration (a normal reaction of stainless steel), clean with vinegar or citric acid.
