Japanese Cat Collection Sushi Teacup - 300ml

From Yamaka Shoten's nekokizuku series, this yunomi is wrapped in a parade of hand-drawn cats — a tabby rolling on its back, a grey cat sitting up begging, a calico strolling past with its tail up — with paw prints and a little “nya—” and “goro goro” scattered between them. The line work is soft pencil style on white porcelain, so it reads as illustration rather than cartoon.

At 300ml it is the standard sushi-shop teacup size — tall and straight-sided, comfortable to cup in both hands, and roomy enough for sencha, hojicha or genmaicha. It comes in its own kraft box with a “Thank you” sticker, ready to give.
