Nippan Wooden Soup Ladle - 21cm - Brown

A wooden ladle for serving at the table — soups, stews and Japanese hot pot (nabemono) straight from the pot. The soft wood will not chip a donabe's glaze or scratch nonstick cookware, and the handle stays cool in the hand.

What's Included

  • 1 x Nippan Wooden Soup Ladle - 21cm - Brown

Key Features

  • Gentle on Cookware: Soft wood is safe on donabe glaze and nonstick surfaces.
  • Made for Nabe: Sized for serving soups, stews and hot pot at the table.
  • Light in the Hand: The simple one-piece shape is comfortable to serve with.
  • Natural Finish: The brown wood grain suits Japanese-style table settings.

A Note on Natural Wood

Please note: The dark spots and streaks seen on the ladle are natural features of the wood’s growth and not defects. Minor marks or small scratches from the manufacturing process may also be present, adding to the unique character of each piece.

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash only. Wash promptly after use.
  • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before storing.
  • Do not soak in water for extended periods.
  • Not suitable for use in a dishwasher, microwave, or oven.

Use & Care
  • Care guide: How to care for handmade Japanese tableware.
  • Microwave & dishwasher: Most of our tableware handles both, but pieces with gold or metallic accents should stay out of the microwave — check each product page.
  • First use: A quick wash in warm water is all new pieces need.
  • Stacking: Place a cloth or paper between stacked pieces to protect glazes from scratching.
  • Stubborn stains: A soak in warm water with a little baking soda lifts tea and coffee stains gently.
Good to Know
  • Guide to Japanese tableware: The regions, styles and traditions behind our collection.
  • Every piece is unique: Slight variations in glaze, colour and shape are the mark of handcrafted pottery — no two pieces are exactly alike, and that's the point.
