Yoshikawa Stainless Steel Dome Steamer Plate with Lid - 18 - 20cm
A perforated stainless steel plate with a deep dome lid that sits on top of a saucepan or pot you already own, turning it into a steamer. The rim is shaped to rest on any pot from 18cm to 20cm across, so there is no separate steamer to buy or store.
The tall dome leaves room for a full plate of vegetables, buns or shumai, and the perforations let fat from steamed meat drip away into the water below. Yoshikawa designed and makes it in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan.

How to Use
- Fill your pot with water to below the level of the plate and bring it to the boil.
- Place the steamer plate on the pot, add the food and cover with the dome lid.
- Steam over medium heat, topping up the water if it runs low.
Care Instructions
- The plate and lid become very hot during use — lift them with oven mitts.
- Wash with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry thoroughly.
- Avoid abrasive pads, which will scratch the stainless steel.
About Yoshikawa
Yoshikawa manufactures in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan's metalworking centre, and designs its kitchenware around everyday cooking at home. Production is in the company's own Japanese facilities.
