*Heat retention is measured to the Japanese industry standard: water at a starting temperature of 95°C in a 20°C room. Real-world performance depends on how full the carafe is — filled to the line it holds temperature far longer than half-empty, because the air gap loses heat. Pre-warming the carafe with hot water before filling adds further hours.
