The Science of Vacuum Cooking

When the pot seals in vacuum mode after cooking, the pressure difference infuses seasonings deep into the ingredients, tenderises meats, and preserves the colour and freshness of vegetables — while keeping food hot until you're ready to serve.

Simple Steps for Vacuum Cooking

1. Place the lid on the pot and lock the side handles.
2. Cook your meal as normal. The lid can be opened at any time during this stage.
3. Once cooked, turn off the heat. The pot will automatically enter vacuum mode, creating an airtight seal.
4. When ready to serve, simply press the silicone button on the lid to release the vacuum seal (a hissing sound is normal).

Care Instructions

All nonstick coatings wear with use — lifespan depends on heat, utensils, and washing. Ceramic surfaces are especially sensitive to high heat, so use low to medium heat with wooden or silicone utensils, and hand wash to get the longest life from the coating and the lid's silicone seals.
