Isobune Shiraki Boat Shape Sushi and Sashimi Serving Platter - 42cm

This serving platter draws on the traditional boat shape ('Isobune') often seen along the Japanese coastline. Its 'Shiraki' (natural white) finish recreates the calm, rustic look of pale wood grain in durable, lightweight resin. With its roomy surface, it provides ample space to arrange sushi, sashimi, or other small delicacies for an eye-catching presentation.

Additionally, the tip of the boat can serve as a convenient sauce plate, perfect for soy sauce or other condiments without needing extra bowls on the table.

About Japanese Presentation

Use & Care
  • Care guide: How to care for handmade Japanese tableware.
  • Microwave & dishwasher: Most of our tableware handles both, but pieces with gold or metallic accents should stay out of the microwave — check each product page.
  • First use: A quick wash in warm water is all new pieces need.
  • Stacking: Place a cloth or paper between stacked pieces to protect glazes from scratching.
  • Stubborn stains: A soak in warm water with a little baking soda lifts tea and coffee stains gently.
