The Tiger JAX-S18A is a 10-cup (1.8 L) multifunction rice cooker that also slow cooks and steams, and — with Tiger's tacook Synchro-Cooking function — cooks a main dish and rice at the same time. Steam rising from the rice cooks the dish in the basket above, so both finish together without flavours crossing over.
Eight computerised menus cover plain, quick, sweet-mixed, porridge, multigrain and brown rice, and two independent preset timers let you schedule breakfast and dinner separately. Made in Japan, this model offers the reliability Tiger is known for. A smaller 5.5-cup version is also available.

The steamer basket has a raised centre, so it won't hold a bowl or plate — place food directly on the basket itself.

- Slow Cook Function: Brings ingredients close to the boil, then holds a gentle simmer at around 88°C for 5 to 180 minutes.
- Steam Function: Steams chicken, fish, dumplings and vegetables on the basket for 5 to 60 minutes.
