Yoshikawa Cook-Pal Ren Nitrided Carbon Steel Induction Frypan - 28cm

Buy a Cook-Pal Ren and you are buying into a system. Yoshikawa makes the Ren in six wok sizes and three frypans, with stainless steel lids from 28cm to 36cm, steamer inserts from 30cm to 36cm, and spare wooden handles — all cut to the same diameters, so a lid bought years after the pan still fits. You add to it over time rather than buying a set upfront.

This 28cm frypan is the family size: the 19.5cm flat base with the highest walls and the most rim room in the frypan range, at 1.25kg — and the size where the system's 28cm lid comes into play. The pan is 1.6mm nitrided carbon steel made in the company's own Tsubame-Sanjo facilities — the high-temperature nitriding hardens the surface, resists rust, and gives seasoning an easy grip from the first use.

The Cook-Pal Ren line runs from 24cm to 36cm, with lids, steamer inserts and spare handles engineered to the same diameters — a lid bought years after the pan still fits. Production is entirely in the company's own Japanese facilities.
