Zojirushi Micom Rice Cooker - 3 Cups (NS-LAQ05)

The NS-LAQ05 is the smallest rice cooker we stock. It cooks from just half a cup — a single bowl of rice — up to 3 cups, and at approximately 23 x 30 x 19 cm it fits benchtops and kitchens where a full-size cooker simply won't. If you live alone, cook for two, or only eat rice a few times a week, this is the size that makes sense.

Compact rice cookers usually cut corners on cooking quality. This one doesn't: it carries Zojirushi's full Micom fuzzy-logic system, which adjusts time and temperature automatically, and the same menu range as larger models. A premium 3-cup Japanese rice cooker is a rare find in Australia — we consulted directly with Zojirushi to make this AU version officially available.

Good to Know

All rice cookers we stock are Australian 240V models sold with local warranty — not grey imports.

Size: capacity is measured in cups of uncooked rice. A 1-cup or 3-cup cooker suits singles and couples, a 5.5-cup feeds a household of 3–5, and a 10-cup suits larger families or batch cooking.

Heating: base-heat models are simple and affordable, induction (IH) heats more evenly for noticeably better rice, and IH pressure models are the top tier — softer, sweeter rice and better brown rice. Not sure which? Read Induction vs conventional rice cookers.
