Akafuji Mt. Fuji Chopstick Rest
The Akafuji Mt. Fuji Chopstick Rest carries Hokusai's Red Fuji (Fine Wind, Clear Morning) sealed inside a clear acrylic oval. The print sits beneath a smooth, glass-like surface, with the red mountain and blue sky showing through from every angle.
At about 4.5cm long, the low oval form holds a pair of chopsticks steady and takes up little room beside a bowl. Acrylic is light and will not chip if knocked.

About Red Fuji
Fine Wind, Clear Morning, known in Japan as Akafuji (Red Fuji), is from Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, published in the early 1830s. It shows the mountain turned red by early morning sun in late summer, a sight rare enough that Red Fuji is regarded in Japan as a symbol of good fortune.
