About the Prints

The Great Wave off Kanagawa and Fine Wind, Clear Morning (known as Red Fuji) are two of the most recognised prints from Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, published in the early 1830s. The Great Wave shows fishing boats caught beneath a towering wave with Fuji small on the horizon; Red Fuji captures the mountain turned red by early morning sun in late summer.
