The Great Wave Chopstick Rest
The Great Wave Chopstick Rest carries Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa sealed inside a clear acrylic oval. The print sits beneath a smooth, glass-like surface, so the blue wave and foam show through from every angle.
At about 4.5cm long, the low oval form holds a pair of chopsticks steady and takes up little room beside a bowl. Acrylic is light and will not chip if knocked.

About The Great Wave
The Great Wave off Kanagawa is the opening print of Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, published in the early 1830s. Fishing boats are caught beneath a towering wave while Fuji sits small on the horizon. It is the most widely reproduced Japanese print in the world and appears on the current Japanese 1,000 yen note.
