Pearl Life Hammered Nitrided Carbon Steel Induction Wok - 26cm
Pearl Life Hammered Nitrided Carbon Steel Wok - 26cm
The Pearl Life Hammered Nitrided Carbon Steel Wok is a 26cm cooking vessel manufactured in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan. Constructed from a lightweight 1.2mm gauge carbon steel, this 0.74kg wok is designed for high responsiveness to temperature changes, making it suitable for fast-paced stir-frying. The flat-base design ensures stability and compatibility with all heat sources, including induction cooktops.
The interior surface features a traditional hammered (tsuchime) pattern that increases structural strength and assists with food release during cooking. The steel undergoes a nitriding heat treatment to harden the surface and enhance rust resistance, providing a durable foundation for developing a natural non-stick patina through seasoning.

Before First Use: Season with Oil
- Wash the inside and outside of your frying pan or wok with dish soap.
- Pour oil into the pan to fill about 1/3 of its capacity and heat on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the oil to a suitable container and spread evenly inside the pan using oil basting set or paper towels.
- We suggest using an oil basting set and a charcoal oil filter pot to properly maintain your carbon steel cookware.
When Finished Cooking
- Transfer leftovers to a separate container and do not use the frying pan or wok for storage.
- Wash the pan with warm water and a scrub sponge, but do not put it in the dishwasher.
