Mikawa Konro Grill Starter Set - Medium 38cm (Red)
This complete starter set provides all the essentials for authentic Japanese barbecue, sized for groups of 4-6 people.
The centrepiece is the large, rectangular Mikawa Konro—often called a hibachi grill in Australia. Its durable steel exterior protects a thick interior of natural diatomite, a porous material prized for its superior heat insulation. This efficient design is perfect for lining up yakitori skewers and ensures charcoal burns consistently for juicy, flavourful results.
What's in the Starter Set:
- Mikawa Kamejima Konro Grill - 38cm (Red): The main grill body, sized for groups.
- Wooden Base: For safe tabletop use and heat protection.
- Reusable Japanese Grill Meshes (x2): Two 38cm meshes are included.
- Tosa Binchotan Charcoal (2kg): A pack of premium, long-burning Japanese white charcoal.
- Echo Stainless Steel Skewers (2 Packs): A total of 10 skewers for yakitori.
Please Note
This grill is made with a natural diatomite mud interior. Minor cosmetic imperfections, such as small chips or an uneven texture, are a normal characteristic of the material and do not affect the grill's performance.

Safe Use & Care
For outdoor use only. The grill body becomes extremely hot. Always place it on the included wooden base and handle with heat-resistant mitts. A grill of this size typically requires around 1kg of binchotan per session. Never use water to extinguish charcoal; let it burn out or use a dedicated charcoal extinguisher.
